Average review score:
A Good Autobiography
Some readers may be expecting a book on various policies. This isn't that book. This is primarily an autobiography of J.C. Watts, Jr. There are policies and issues discussed throughout the book, but they are primarily in the context of Watts' life and the effect they had on it.
The book gives a good background on growing up as the son of a hard-working man in Oklahoma in the 60's and 70's. It demonstrates that what is most important is the content of one's character by illustrating great examples in Watts' family and friends.
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the insight to be found in Watts' stories about politics, football, hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit. - Thomas Sewell
